Cool Aid Visual is the brush name of Jamie Edward.

My love for illustration has always been strong but it wasn’t until I studied Anatomy in my Bachelor of Science that I recognised it as something I wanted to do. In this class
I would spend hours drawing the human figure and all the cool details of the musculo- skeletal systems. In 2009 I corrected my career trajectory and studied Communication Design at RMIT - a much better fit, and for the passed 10 years I have worked as
a designer, illustrator, mural painter and graphic scribe.

Spanning government, corporate and community sectors, this work has enabled me to travel extensively throughout Australia and overseas. A career highlight has been scribing at the United Nations in New York for the 2018 Global Youth Summit.

My work is inspired by the natural world and all the weird and wonderful creatures within it. I am interested in creating narrative driven worlds with colourful characters that fall somewhere between cute and bizarre. I enjoy working in analog and digital mediums across small and large formats, from brand marks to sky high murals.
